It is a considered historical approach to the evolution of a much celebrated festival. It is both respectful and factual with sound referencing and research principles. If anything the book encourages us to rediscover some of the community altruism of our predecessors and focus less on ourselves.
A great read, and if nothing else it will provide the reader with some great stories to tell. A thoroughly rewarding read.
